Apple Caramel Dessert

November is a great time to taste one of the many varieties of late-ripening apples. While there are more than 7,000 kinds of apples, the best keepers are the fall and winter varieties. Cozy up to seven kidney-friendly apple recipes today.

Apples are low in potassium, and a great fruit choice for a low-potassium diet. Keep apples refrigerated or in a cool place where temperatures are just above 32° F and they will stay fresh throughout  the winter, ready to use.
