I can be good too

As parents, we're nothing if not educators. Ever since our daughter was born, when I leave her, to go to work for instance, I tell her, "You be a good girl, and I'll be a good boy too." I'm not perfect, but through this she knows that I expect her to be good and that she should expect me to be good also. It also serves to remind me that everything I do becomes the lesson I teach her about how to live.
